Your Y just got a whole lot bigger! We want to encourage members to utilize the Y as often as they can. Sometimes, it’s more convenient for members to utilize a Y in a different location when traveling, near a workplace or in another region.

Now, full facility/full privilege YMCA members have the flexibility to use other Y facilities throughout ourstate, at no extra charge. Simply present your active YMCA membership card and photo ID at the Y you’re visiting and enjoy free access.

Some restrictions and exclusions may apply. Prior to visiting a Y we recommend members contact them for more information.

For a complete list of participating YMCAs across North Carolina visit here. You can find more information and details about the program here. Now get out, explore and stay connected to the Y!

When you join a YMCA, you become part of a national movement of 17.9 million members in more than 2,400 local YMCA associations. Each YMCA is an autonomous, not-for-profit (and not a franchise) local YMCA, therefore, policies vary on the use of equipment, facilities, services and programs for visiting members from out-of-town YMCAs.

The Wilson Family YMCA allows other YMCA members to use our facilities at no charge three times within a 30 day period. They must present an active membership card and be in good standing at their "home" YMCA. Any additional visits will require the purchase of a $10 day pass.

If you are a member of the Wilson Family YMCA and want to visit another YMCA, outside of North Carolina, we recommend calling ahead to find out about their visiting member program.

The Y is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all. To promote safety and comfort, the Y asks all persons to act appropriately at all times when in our facilities, on our property or participating in our programs. We ask that all members review our Code of Conduct.

No one is turned away from the YMCA for an inability to pay. Need-based financial assistance for memberships and programs is available on a sliding scale basis. Request an Open Doors application at the Front Desk and return it with all of the required documentation to the Y, Attention: Sally Kuykendoll, Business Manager. Applications will not be reviewed until the forms are complete and all documents are received. The review process can take up to two weeks once an application is complete.

The Armed Services YMCA, the Department of Defense and YMCA of the USA have joined forces in a new initiative to address the needs of families of deployed military personnel living far from a military installation who require YMCA support and programming. The Armed Services YMCA and Department of Defense Outreach Initiative ("Outreach Initiative") provides $31 million in government funding for families to receive memberships at full-facility YMCAs in their communities. This initiative will serve family members of deployed reservists and national guardsmen. Download a Military One application and return it with all required documentation to the Y, Attention: Terry Hey, Business Manager.

To cancel your membership, written notice is required (minimum 30 days to avoid additional fees). Cancellation Request Forms are available at the front desk or email our Member Service Coordinator, Wendy Moore, at wmoore@wilsonymca.org
